a letter for Greg

Dear Greg,

You've met me a few times but we don't really know each other but you'd probably recognize me if we passed on the street. But I do know your brother Phil and his wife Carrie and consider them both among my dearest friends. For them and everything I know you mean to Phil please get better. They need you strong and healthy and there for them. I've always thought that one of the biggest gifts we can give to those we love most is simply just being there. You mean so much to Phil and Carrie and this love has a long, long reach.

It's finally spring here in Brooklyn and you have to get strong again so you don't miss all the drama of everything coming back to life. The cherry trees are already starting to bloom at the Botanic Garden and the daffodils and forsythia is blazing yellow at Grand Army Plaza. Soon the trees will start to turn that bright florescent green that looks so tender and new. That color only lasts for a minute so please keep fighting, you don't want to miss the best season of the year.

You've lots and lots of people cheering you on and wishing for your recovery. Keep fighting hard and beat this nasty virus - you're stronger than it and there's so much in this world and so many people that need you around.

You're in my thoughts and I'm sending all the strength I can!

Rana
